The Foster Company was founded in 1925 as a real estate and insurance company. For three generations, it has advanced in professional capabilities, creating a balance of expertise with experienced people, refined skills, and proven performance.

Allan Foster
President, MAI, CRE, CCIM
Allan builds on a foundation of being raised as the third generation in a real estate and insurance business. He joined the company full-time in 1980 and brings a full perspective of property ownership, permitting, development, finance, appraisal, brokerage, management, insurance, and entrepreneurial skills. Communication skills have been honed through years of marketing, negotiating, management, and public speaking. These skills are central to his role as president of the company and in the effective completion of his own assignments.
Kenneth Croft III, Esq.
Vice President
Ken has been a real estate appraiser and consultant since 1984. He has wide experience in the appraisal of real estate that ranges from multi-million dollar oceanfront estates and residential land suitable for subdivision, to apartment buildings, shopping centers, office buildings, industrial buildings, and mill complexes, as well as land suitable for commercial development. Mr. Croft has worked in each of the six New England states, as well as in New York and beyond.
Francis Army
Senior Appraiser, MAI
Frank has worked in the real estate profession for over 20 years. His experience began as a broker in 1996 and then as a property tax consultant. This background gives him invaluable experience from residential to commercial-industrial and special purpose property. Equally important is his insight into markets and the individuals that make deals happen. Mr. Army has worked with clients from property owners to lenders, the government, and some of the largest REITs in the country. As an appraiser, Mr. Army’s ability to understand real estate markets and the people who make them brings an unusual depth of understanding to our clients.
Kevin Sullivan
Appraiser
Kevin Sullivan started his real estate career as a real estate broker in 2004. Mr. Sullivan’s career evolved with him gaining experience in property valuation. He initially worked in residential appraisal and found that commercial appraisal work suited him best. He has been a real estate appraiser and consultant since 2018. Properties he has valued include commercial and industrial facilities, retail, multi-family, condominiums and single-family housing, mixed-use, restaurants, office buildings, and vacant land for all use types. His years of full-time employment in the real estate field lend an astute perspective and successful performance to Mr. Sullivan’s appraisal and consulting assignments.
Vanessa Epro
Office Manager & Senior Research Associate
Vanessa joined the Foster Company in 2016. Her background in real estate sales, financial accounting, and business administration give Vanessa a strong foundation with firsthand experience in the real estate profession. She is an integral part of our appraisal team, managing our finance and human resource functions, and offering support to appraisers through public records research, document procurement, and enhancing visual exhibits. Vanessa is the company contact for billing, documents, and support.
